    What I'm Currently Working On

    Beekio, AI SaaS for commercial beekeepers

    I'm building Beekio, an AI SaaS platform for commercial beekeepers. It is a careful audience with a lot at stake: a badly timed Varroa treatment can cost 60% of a colony, and almond pollination contracts are the year's paycheck.

    It is a solo operation. Landing page, app, backend API, AI pipeline, billing, auth, email, infrastructure: I designed and built each piece and I maintain it now.

    What I built:

    • Multi-tier AI usage enforcement with daily action tracking, automated UTC resets, and structured 429 responses
    • Persistent AI chat with resumable sessions across logins
    • Custom Clerk sign-in / sign-up pages
    • Stripe subscription billing across four tiers
    • Cloudflare R2 image uploads via presigned URL flow
    • React Query migration that cut in-app navigation from 4 to 5 seconds down to near instant
    • pytest backend suite and Alembic migrations
    • Dev to main Git workflow with Cloudflare preview deployments

    Beekio runs under Beekio LLC (Wyoming), alongside Sudowear.shop, a direct-to-consumer e-commerce store.

    It is in beta launch mode. Stripe billing is wired in, Clerk webhooks are in place, and the invitation email flow works. Next comes real users, and the kind of feedback only production gives you.

    Multi-Agent LLM Systems

    Building the AI advisor inside Beekio: prompt design, and a deterministic layer that decides what the LLM gets to control and what stays plain Python.

    Production AI Infrastructure

    Daily usage enforcement, UTC midnight resets, structured 429 responses, APScheduler + Railway cron. The unglamorous backend that makes AI features feel fair and predictable to users.

    SaaS Operations

    Running a solo SaaS: Wyoming LLC registration, Stripe billing, four pricing tiers with yearly plans priced at 10 months, email deliverability across verified domains. The business side most engineers skip.

    Developer Experience

    Clean dev workflows: pytest suites, Alembic migrations, Cloudflare preview deployments, React Query state patterns, a dev to main Git flow. Tooling that keeps solo development from getting painful as the app grows.
